60 Minute Extended Flying Lesson Standard Selection
Upon arrival at the aerodrome youll be given a briefing on the principles of light aircraft flying. From there youll be taken to the aeroplane for a general familiarisation of the cockpit layout and a rundown of the controls. After this its up up and away for a 60 minute flight of a lifetime! If the instructor feels confident that their new student is ready youll even be able to take the controls and get the thrill of piloting the aircraft. Once in the air, you will be able to take the controls but your pilot will generally land the plane and taxi back.Need to know: Minimum age 12-14 depending on location (under 18s need parental/guardian consent) Flying time only counts towards a Private Pilot's licence if you are over 14 years old You should be in reasonable health and agile enough to climb into the aircraft Minimum height 4-5 (122cms-152cms), max height 64-67 (193cms-201cms) depending on location.
