60 Minute Extended Flying Lesson (UK Wide)
Experience the joy of flying in an adrenaline fuelled 60 minute flying lesson. An instructor will give you a briefing and introduce the controls and layout of the cockpit. From there it will be time to fly. You will learn about the principles of flying and if confident enough take the controls and feel what it is like to pilot an aircraft. Important InformationFacilities and planes will vary between locations and the images used here are a guide only. Your voucher is valid for 10 months. If you are over 16 stone or 6ft 4 inches tall you will need to state this to the receptionist prior to booking and you may need to pay a surcharge on the day to be upgraded to a larger aircraft. All lessons are subject to weather conditions on the day and clients should phone on the morning of their lesson to check. Family and friends are welcome to come along and use the clubhouse for food and drinks. You must become a member free of charge on the day to be covered by insurance. Minimum age is 12. Anyone under the age of 18 will need a parent or guardian to be with them on the day. All dates are subject to availability.

This will cover safety, and an introduction to some of the controls. Once in the plane, your flying lesson starts from the time the engine turns over. You will be given headphones so that you can hear conversations between your instructor and air traffic control, and so that you can talk with your instructor. Once in the air, you will be able to take the controls but your pilot will generally land the plane and taxi back.Need to know: Minimum age 12-14 depending on location (under 18s need parental/guardian consent) Flying time only counts towards a Private Pilot's licence if you are over 14 years old You should be in reasonable health and agile enough to climb into the aircraft Minimum height 4-5 (122cms-152cms), max height 64-67 (193cms-201cms) depending on location.
